Mystic

     Pugs

Spellbinding, enchanting and charming; conjured with a vision of divinity

Mystic Pugs began in 1997 after much research and understanding of show Pugs.  I bought Ch. CandyLand's Starburst "Buster" from CandyLand Pugs.  Buster had already finished at that time, and he was campaigned for a few months and picked up several Breed wins.  Buster had a dynamic personality and loved to show.  After looking in many directions, I was fortunate to land Ch. Celestial Neu Star Attraction ROM "Emma" from Danielle Campi of Celestial Pugs.  Emma was an absolute doll and exactly what I wanted in a foundation bitch to start my line of Pugs.   I decided to breed Emma to Ch. Mi-Luv's Persona Grata Sez Faz "Bud", and the Mystic Celestial SkyCraft Litter was born on December 17, 2001.  Since that time, all 5 puppies have become champions from that litter.  Two of those puppies are now Multiple Group Winners and Top Ten Pugs.  On March 22, 2003 Emma was named the Northern California Pug Club's Dam of the Year.

In February 2002, I joined partnership with Ruth Pereira of Donandru Kennels.  Ruth has bred many fine show dogs from multiple breeds.  She has bred National Specialty and BIS winners in Boxers and Brussels Griffons.  She is beginning this same journey in Pugs.  We look forward to many years of success.

My mother and I have owned Pugs for the last 16 years, and all of them were pet quality Pugs up until 1997 when I got into the showing aspect of Pugs.  I have a true love for the Pugs, and consider them all part of my family.  As a Pug breeder, I am a member of the Pug Dog Club of America (PDCA), and strongly follow the PDCA Breeder's Code of Ethics.  I also belong to the Purebred Dog Breeders and Exhibitors Association of Evansville where I am the current President, and sit on the Board of Directors for the Bluegrass Pug Fanciers.  I am also a member of the Central Indiana Pug Club and Mid Michigan Pug Club.  I breed to improve our Pugs, and to attain a puppy for myself.  I try to pick the best sire and dam that will compliment each other.

The Pug is a truly wonderful breed that I am so fond of.  They are vibrant and full of energy, yet they can be so sweet and calm.  They are hard workers in the show ring and give you 100% of themselves.  I look forward to many more productive years in the breed.

Mystic Pugs is located in Evansville, Indiana on the Ohio River.  I work full-time as a Director of Nursing in a long-term care facility and am attending graduate school to obtain my master's in nursing management and leadership.  I hope you enjoy your visit at our website.  Please do not hesitate to contact me by
e-mail if you have any questions or comments.  The best is yet to come!
